About Diane Bohna
Diane Bohna - Cattle Rancher/Photographer I list my name as such because my first love in life is taking care of my cattle and the land they run on. I am a 5th generation cattle rancher and I have always loved photography. So some 15ish years ago when I was leading the ranchers in a defense of continued use of the USFS I decided that if the general public could just understand this way of life of a cowboy somehow they would understand the sincerity of this path I have chosen. So I started packing my camera and photographing working cowboys just doin what they do. I have been blessed with many friends that live across the United States and abroad and so my travels have expanded outside of California, I must tell you the hat styles...

When I was a kid ( 35+ yrs ago) my dad would take us camping In the High Sierras... It was a beautiful place...far away from other people...right near a meadow that had a creek running thru it. Turns out, that area was where the cattle drives came thru every year 😄 Dad would always have to clear the cow patties out of the camp before we could set up!! Thank you for your photography, and for bringing back some cherished memories. Chris Adams Montverde, FL (Formerly Madera, CA)
